And less then that for our Christmas with all the kids home!
Last year we had them home but not all together, because of schedules and the lingering pandemic, THIS YEAR NOTHING BEST GET IT THE WAY, THE DATE IS SET
Until then it’s officially Christmas movie time
Christmas Vacation is a family fave, for me it’s much more than the portrayal of Christmas chaos that is part of everyone’s holidays, including ours.
One of my favourite parts is when Clark is stuck in the attic and he plays old home videos.
We have a nice collection of our own Christmas home movies, every year I grab some tissue and watch through them.
I miss when the kids were little, but I also miss when I was little, the magic somehow hit different then even as a parent at Christmas, am I right?
Mr D nor I have home videos of us, My dad took many every year but I assume he thought he had more time on this earth to take more because 99% of them are lost.
My brother did come across a tape with a Christmas when my two oldest were babies and toddlers, it’s just snip its, seems dad taped over it here and there, hearing my dad’s voice is hard but at the same time fills my heart this time of year.
This ugly sweater is dedicated to him, this was one of his faves and like most families our Christmas had chaos but we filled our cup with cheer and became the jolliest bunch when it came down to it.
