Hello blog world
Without having this post swallowed up by my life ramblings I want you to know I’ve been trying to add content but reality is I found out in January I needed a Hysterectomy, but thanks to covid the urgent date I had for March has come and went and now we are in lockdown again so instead of worrying and prepping for that I am going to try to continue sharing crafts and such on here until all this is sorted out.
I also am nursing a minor blood clot in my leg so time will tell if I have to abandon ship temporarily again or not, my apologies if I disappear again.
I am in love with designing and printing cards on my cricut, Mr D went out in February and got me a shiny new laptop so I can lounge on the couch and craft, this is actually being brought to you from a medical recliner Mr D found on the market place for my surgery recovery but has come in super handy with being an amputee with a blood clot.
A cricut is a game changer I am not the greatest cutter with scissors, did I ever tell you I almost lost my arm as well in my MVA 30 years ago? If I had to guess I would have to say I only have 85% use of my hand and arm, sounds like almost 100% but that 15% effects a lot of daily functions.
I am sharing the PNG file I created, with a cricut you just save it here, upload it to your cricut, save as a cut file. In design space duplicate the file over and over to contour and change colours.
I’m going to assume if you are here, you know the basics of circut, but I once was a newbie too so if not just google it, there are tons of tutorials on contouring.
It is 100% possible to print this out on card stock and hand cut out, then use your template to cut your pieces out of coloured cardstock or construction paper.
CLICK ON THE CARD PHOTO FOR THE PNG AND USE THE CARD PHOTO AS A GUIDE TO ASSEMBLE IT
My favorite adhesive is tape runners like THESE and foam squares to raise pieces off the card like THESE
IN DESIGN SPACE OR BY HAND ALSO CREATE A RECTANGLE THATS 10 INCHES WIDE X 7 INCHES TALL, THIS WILL BE YOUR 5X7 CARD ONCE FOLDED IN HALF
ALSO CUT OUT A 4X6 INCHES RECTANGLE ON PLAIN WHITE PAPER ( NOT CARDSTOCK) THAT YOU CAN GLUE ON THE INSIDE FOR YOUR MESSAGE
CLICK HERE FOR A MOTHERS DAY INSERT YOU CAN ALSO PRINT OFF FOR THE INSIDE
Keeping you in my prayers that your surgery is over soon so you can relax more and get back to doing what you love. Pretty card with Spring flowers. I am in the process of learning mold making but of course doing it all by watching YouTube clips. Hopefully soon I will also figure out how to vlog since we have the name Our Little Red House registered on there but as of yet we have no vlogs put up. I have discovered I know nothing when it comes to videos. Thought it would be nice though to start doing DIY’s on there for home bound and locked down areas. Arizona is open and has been for over a year now. People are given the choice of wearing a mask or not. We try to stay safe as much as possible. It is a scary time for sure. You and your family stay safe and I hope everything runs smoothly for you in your health too, keep crafting, the world needs more creative people like you to cheer us all up.
