Who else is not great at wreath making?, Hand high in the air here!
I believe it’s a combination of not being a huge floral fan and the lack of skill on how to attach the pieces so they stay put and pretty.
I came across some cake pans while thrifting, last year I believe, with holes at the top I assume for hanging. My immediate thought was, spray paint them and hang them on a wreath, one of many I have kicking around that I’ve picked up here and there thrifting.
In fact our extra large one that hangs by our front door was a $2 garage sale find a good 6 years ago, and has been redone several times now.
Last year, I spray painted a snowman and a tree shaped pans in teal and used them on wreaths.
Dragging them out of storage this year I gasped at my less than glamorous wreaths and had to RIP them all apart, striving for more simple looks.
While I had them all apart I decided to spray paint the once painted teal tree pan with black, and then dry brushed on white tremclad (metal paint)
I zip tied the pan to the wreath at the top and attached a simple red bow from the dollar tree at the bottom, I am now in love with this simple wreath.
