For the last few years we have been making up batches of these spice blends for family and friends, at first we thought they were just being polite when they tasted some of our recipes with them and the first time we gifted them, but it’s safe to say it’s like Christmas every time I make up a batch and gift it!
Grab some vintage or dollar store mason jars ( they have so many adorable ones and label kits too!)
This recipe is used by us on pork and chicken when we are barbecuing,it is also used in our OVEN WINGS recipe.
Our neighbour says he puts the SH*T on everything!
This recipe is used by us to season roast beef deli meat or thinly sliced steak for philly steak subs ( or on bbq steak), it is used in pan fried potatoes ( home fries) and breakfast hash, and also 1 of 2 ingredients in our 3 ingredient HOME MADE BURGERS.
Another way this year I am using a mason jar is to display vintage wooden Christmas ornaments, I started collecting.
I can thank LITTLE RED, I have been following her blog since I started here pretty much and one of the things I look forward to seeing at Christmas on her site is her existing and new collection of these lovelies. HERE is last years
Hubz and I were walking through our antique market, I get lost in the place! even more so with all the displays of vintage Christmas goodies, when I seen a display of these ornaments I melted, I picked up these few, and for less then $1 each, it’s time to add these to my garage and thrift sale find list!
HOW TO OBSERVE
On November 30th share all your favorite ways to use Mason Jars. Whether you fill them with your favorite recipes, a miniature fairy garden or hang them from a chandelier, show your appreciation for the Mason jar and use #NationalMasonJarDay on social media.

Thank you, love this. I have been busy writing up post to posts everyday till the 24th and I have a little time to catch up on reading. That little boy ornament looks like it goes to a little girl I bought this year to add to my collection. I have so much fun finding these ornaments, I can’t believe how many different ones there are out there. Thank you for the spice recipes too, what a cool idea. I will have to link this post up to my post for my collection I bought this year, lots of new ones too.
