PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE DAY

Who knew, people other than us make pumpkin cheese cake!

I have been making pumpkin cheese cake since our oldest, who is now 25, was a toddler.

I believe the original recipe came from a Chatelaine magazine, but it has been my own for over a decade, shared with family and friends who now make it as well.

In our home we make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas

I almost didn’t get a photo to share today, everyone, mostly Hubz gobbles these up faster then the Thanksgiving turkey ( and I make 2 cheesecakes lol)

I’d like to give a shout out to Blessed By Me who shared a 2 ingredient pumpkin muffin recipe, I altered it a bit and added 1 tsp of cinnamon and topped them with cream cheese icing, but OH MY GOODNESS ARE THEY EVER DELICIOUS

Will be adding them to our Fall treats line up again.

National Pumpkin Cheesecake Day is observed annually on October 21. Fall the is the perfect time to add pumpkin to one of America’s favorite desserts!

Cheesecake is a sweet dessert that is a mixture of fresh soft cheese, cream cheese or cottage cheese, eggs and sugar on a crust made from crushed graham crackers, crushed cookies, pastry or sponge cake.  Pumpkin may be added to cheesecake recipes in various ways. For example, it may be swirled throughout,  mixed thoroughly with all ingredients or layered.  Cheesecakes can be prepared baked or unbaked, flavored and are often served topped with fruit, fruit sauce, chocolate or whipped cream.

  1. I laughed at that one about your husband eating up the cake, my family does that too. I will have a recipe post ready and when I go to check for the completed item it is gone, all eaten up. This looks and sound so yummy, thanks for the recipe and I will have to try Michelle’s recipe too. Michelle has some great tips, always enjoy stopping by her site for a visit as well. You both are so creative.

      1. Haha its just peanutbutter and graham formed into balls covered in white chocolate. Tastes like recess cups…huge pain to make..I hate working with melted chocolate! But I still make them most years

  2. This looks delicious!! My husband makes pumpkin pie every year for Thanksgiving, but I might have to sneak this in, too! Thank you so much for sharing my recipe. That means a lot to me! 💕 I bet the cinnamon and cream cheese icing made them even better!!

  3. I’d much rather have a slice of pumpkin cheesecake than a slice of plain old pumpkin pie! Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us at the Creative Muster. Looking forward to seeing what you’ll be sharing next week. Pinning!
