Here is a poem I wrote earlier this year about my fur babies.
Your paw in my hand is like unexplained magic
It’s like first love, true love, and parental love as one
It’s an adjective for love I can’t find in existence
It’s like a breathtaking kiss, a tear jerking hug
It’s emotions rarley envoked often
It’s like butterflies, heart flutters, and endless grins
It’s life’s excitments in overload
Your paw in my hand is a loss of words.

Some of our fur babies recent photos
First meet Ella, our son lost his beloved Guinea Pig Cinnomon, she was 6 years old, terrific for a Guinea Pig!, he has now chosen to love a lion head bunny, they live to be 8 to 10 years old. We adopted a rabbit many years ago, Cadbury, she was said to be a few years old at adoption, and she passed well into her 10th year!
Here is Ruby, she has come a long way from the scared kitten we adopted in January. She is such a snuggle bug now, and as my son says “she’s like a regular cat now”
You can find her laying like this often, true to the Mainecoon breed ( she is a cross) but a few months ago you would only find her in the fetal position, with one eye open, on guard at all times.
Here’s Mr Copper, being his silly self and always by mamas side. My neighbour gifted me some micro sunflower green seeds, as I turned to get some water for them Cooper needed to have a sniff.
Here is Lux, in between crafting for Christmas I play with this gorgeous girl in one of here favourite spots for the summer, her pool. Hubz built a cement pad with patio stones a few years back just for her pool.
It’s not the greatest action shot, I grabbed my phone quickly for this photo one day.
Here “bathing suits” are handmade bandanna in fun summer prints, here she has on one in pink with lemons. I did a tutorial on how to make your own a few years back. You can find it HERE, get started now on Christmas prints for your K9 family and friends!

Thanks for stopping by. it is a great joy to see Ruby so happy and comfortable finally! its hard knowing some rescues are re homed yet again because some people just dont understand that time and patience yields great results most times, and a little compassion is needed for these guys and gals who have had a rough start to life.

She is such a cutey. Handled from birth by the breeder so she loves being picked up and being out of her pen
