Mystery Blogger Award

untitled

Thank you Sophie Marshall for nominating me.

I have always loved reading and writing, poetry books, essays, projects, in my diary, if it has words it’s my jam, numbers not so much lol.

I started this blog at a time in my life were I needed to find a way to be me, in a world full of situations that had been stripping me of my identity.

At first I wanted it to be all about my creative side, a big part of me, but then I embraced this blog as literally a diary of all things me, and so it is now a little bit of everything that is me.

Being part of a blogging community is like having dozens of pen pals (is that even a thing with the net and social media? I’m dating myself, right?)
I get to learn about people around the world, write and read about things we relate to and enjoy, thank you all for reading and writing.

Here are three things about myself:

I’m an mom of 4 (24 boy 23 girl 19 boy 14 boy) and a mom of 4 fur cats and 2 fur dogs

I am a below the knee amputee and live with several auto immune disorders.

I love crafting, crocheting, sewing, woodworking, music, thrifting, everything retro & yummy food.

My responses to Sophie’s questions are:

Do I have any favorite places I’ve travelled to?

I am petrified to fly or travel by car far, as a kid I have been to Portugal, my parent’s homeland. As far as favourite places now it would have to be Great Wolf Lodge which is far enough but manageable for my nerves. (we have been a few times and can’t wait to go again)

What is my favorite type of music?

I love 80s pop and rock. Current Pop and Rock. Classic Rock
I don’t have a favourite genre now but my fave artists are Pink & Rob Thomas. I’ve seen Rob & Matchbox 20 well over a dozen times, I’m yet to see Pink
My least fave genre is country.

Have I ever gone camping?

We love camping; we had a summer trailer home for 6 years, in a campground. As the kids got older we sadly had to say goodbye to it.

Apple or Samsung?

Phones Samsung (android) but I love my Ipad!

If I could be any mythical creature, what would it be and why?

A gothic fairy, since I love the colour black and black clothing regular fairies are not my thing, but being a fairy, small enough to wander the world with magical powers yet small enough to hide from the world would be the best!

My nominees for this award are:

Our Little Red House
KelleysDIY
Starr Creative
All The Shoes I Wear
Whimziville
The Spoonie Mummy
Crafts Chronic Illness & Adulting
Upcycle Design Lab
Upcycle That
Alphe’s Corner

My 5 questions for you all are:

In a brain fog moment I realized I had been answering my own questions and decided to keep going, why not? great way to get to know each other, feel free to do the same.

Do you have any pets?

Fish Guinea pig 3 cats 1 kitten and 2 dogs

If you craft/create, what is your favourite type, Baking and Cooking count!

I love them all but if I had to pick

Woodworking & Digital Crafts/Design

Do you blog via Laptop, Desktop or Phone/Tablet

All 3

Do you have Netflix? Or Prime Video? If so what are you currently binge watching?

Both.
Watching Alf & American Gods on Prime
Just finished Frankie & Grace and St Clarita Diet on Netflix

My silly question is name 3 “odd” foods you enjoy

I like chips on my sandwich (sour cream and onion on tuna, plain, salt and vinager or dill pickle on others)
My odd sandwich is pickles on toasted bread with mayonnaise.

I like chicken strips dipped in honey sometimes with hot sauce in the honey.

I like vinegar on my poutine (fries and gravy)

Hubz odd food is peanut butter and cheese sandwiches and the man must reheat his food even if it was just cooked but sat for a few minutes or was just delivered!

Lastly my best post?

I have many I love, a few have been featured in link parties, but I would have to say my best is a most recent one:

Slow Dancing With A Mid Life Crisis.

It highlights a lot of the struggles that lead me to blogging in the first place.

Thanks again Sophie for the nomination!
Hope all who are nominated can participate but no worries if you can’t!

  1. Great post! Thank you so much for the nomination. I look forward to participating. I’m slow to do so, but will.

The Lodge sounds fun! I’ve never been but have heard of them. I sure miss traveling. Sounds like a great family destination.

Thank you again and I’ll let you know when I post the response. 🌸

    • I am not one for gruesome things…i cant tolorate izombie as its comical and mild..I found st c a little to gross even if comical but loved its quirky story line! I looked away at the few parts and hubz would give me the all clear to look back. Just found out yesterday NF canceled it so its just the current 3 seasons for it
