With Halloween only a little over a week away I am sharing a family favorite today that can be served as a ghoulish dish and also enjoyed all year round. These reheat wonderfully so if need be can be cooked hours in advance. There are 3 separate recipe cards here to print ( if you don’t want to make the bone dust 1 tbsp. of granulated garlic 1 tbsp. onion powder 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. black pepper can be used, but I PROMISE, once you taste this dust on the wings and on your grilled meats you will be making it again and again, and like us for family and friends again and again lol. Not using the dust may not result in a crispy wing either.
The bone dust we found the original recipe in a BBQ book years ago ( we changed it drastically to suit our tastes, and the wings were born from an idea hubz co worker told him about, dusting the wings and Barbequing them. We find these oven wings come out crispy and just like a floured fried wing and have been making them like this for years. Cooking them on parchment paper is a MUST, it prevents the skin from sticking to the sheet.
The wing sauce is 100% mine! I think it tastes like those served at restaurants if I do say so myself, we prefer it over any packaged sauce. Dip each wing in or toss the wings with desired amount of sauce in a bowl.
Click on each and open in a new window, save and print (4×6 size to fit perfectly in a photo album-turned recipe book)
If you do make them Halloween night as a pre trick or treating snack or for an upcoming party, you can call them SKELETON DUSTED BAT WINGS WITH RED HOT BLOOD SAUCE.
Come November 1st they are just as delicious called oven fried wings with homemade wing sauce.

I do! They are chicken strips made from chicken breast but the recipe is deep fried…a family fave for many many years, even extended family lol.
I want to share them here at some point, can I email it to you? Is there an email link on your page? I love sweet potatoe fries. If you dont want a deep fried Recipe no problem, one day i should try to make them healthier lol.

I Love King! mostly I like children’s Halloween movies lol, and paranormal, I’ve never seen any old B&W ghost ones but they sound like I’d liked them. We also love the goonies and gremlins at Halloween, of course Ghostbusters.
I have seen old Hitchcock movies, not in a long time but I remember really enjoying those as well.
