Its already the middle of October and If your like me you’ve already started Christmas crafts.
Today I am sharing a wooden coffin shaped wreath stand.
This works up in an afternoon and by now Halloween wreaths are highly discounted, a perfect weekend project, or pin it for next year.
We made this early in the season, it was added to our to do list for Halloween back in the spring.
RE USED THE WOODEN FRAME FROM AN OLD HALLOWEEN SIGN,ADDED A DOLALR STORE SKELETON AND SOME CROCHETED FLOWERS AND MADE THIS WREATH, NEXT YEAR IT WILL BE JACK SKELLINGTON TO GO WITH THE ZERO DOG HOUSE WE HAVE BUILT THIS YEAR. THE SCARECROW IS MADE FROM PINE BOARDS MY BROTHER IN LAW GAVE ME. I THINK NEXT YEAR HIS HAT NEEDS SOME FLORAL.
It is made with fence boards 6 ft long, you need 5 of them- 4 for the front and 1 to cut for the back.
Black or Grey outdoor paint or can be left natural because fence boards are treated wood meant for outdoor use. Hook to hang your wreath from
1.1/4 inch screws
Lay your 4 boards side by side and on the 2 outer boards mark to shape your coffin
Lay them out side by side and now use your 5th board and cut it to fit width wise on your coffin and use your screws to attach them to your planks. Use 3 boards spread apart, and 2 screws into each board.
Paint both sides and then attach your hook and place a wreath on it.

This turned out great. I bet your house is the best decorated house on the street. We are kind of dealing with a really bad drug addition in our area and we can’t put out decorations until the day of the celebrations because they just get stolen. We are close to the main part of the city, although very convenient and I love the ranch styled homes from the 1950’s it is getting a little scary in the city. When we head up north to our little red house (from the 1940’s) it is so different and quiet. Anyway, great decorations, can;t wait to see what you come up for the other holidays to.
We were just saying to our neighbour how its nice the rift raf have moved away lol, our decorations use to get smashed, it was heart breaking. Ive had my handicap parking permit stolen right out of my car.
We too have a bad drug problem here …needles in every park even..very sad. We have one of the most decorated lawns for the holidays lol…ya only live once is my motto, and I love building and making.
