This is a make it Monday kind of post but since it contains freebie patterns I thought a frugal Friday post seemed fitting.
Plastic canvas is kind of like cross stitching but you do it with yarn instead of floss an the canvas is plastic and the holes are larger ( these are done on 7 count clear plastic canvas found at most craft supply stores, amazon and I have been lucky to find it at Dollar Tree)
These patterns look great stitched up and framed as well, adjust the cut canvas size to fit in frame of choice. ( I do 5×7 usually, just need to adjust the pattern into the centre is all)
These covers are used on the small square Kleenex boxes and you will need 1 full sheet and a bit for one box.
For my fellow plastic canvassers enjoy and I’d love to see any projects you do using these patterns email me at Dandelion-Bouquet@rogers.com
For anyone wanting to learn it is quite easy and so much fun.
Since I have been asked to share my patterns, which are my own ,check back for more free shares.
TOPS FOR ALL BOXES ARE CUT AS 30 HOLES X 30 HOLES THEN CUT A SQUARE OPENING IN THE MIDDLE 10 HOLES X 10 HOLES. PLEASE REFER TO THE PICTURES OF MY FINISHED STITCHED PATTERN FOR ANY DEATAILING NEEDED (CALLED BACK OR TOP STITCHING I BELIEVE) AS WELL AS COLOUR REFERENCE. THEY ARE AT THE END OF EACH PATTERN.
HELLO KITTY INSPIRED KLEENEX COVER
Since doing this pattern I have made the bow in plastic canvas, pattern below, wrap yarn around the middle as seen in photo, then hot glue it on
